A weblog (blog) is a cross between an online journal and an ezine. Weblogs must have links to other websites, they also need a commentary on the sites. Please submit sites to the related subcategory.
Weblogs are personal surfing diaries -- daily or weekly lists of links that the writer thinks are interesting.
"Personalized news isn't about going to excite and getting words that match your keyword. It's about going to a person you trust. Personalized." -- SabrenWeblogs come in two major flavors: Weblogs, which are more link-oriented, keeping track of news in a particular topic area; and online journals, which emphasize more of the writer's own thoughts, opinions, and daily life. Both need to be updated on a fairly regular basis in order to be included here (at least three times a week).
Many Weblogs die a quick and painless death because the author simply gets bored of maintaining it. That's fine, but don't bother submitting a site you have no intention of maintaining for the long haul. Also, don't submit your site to the top-level category if it's more appropriate to one of the subcategories. We'll move it there anyway, but anything which adds to our burden generally doesn't make us happy people. Thanks!
Let me repeat... Submit your site to one of the subcategories if it is more appropriate to that topic. If you submit it to the top-level Weblog category, it'll likely take longer to be included in the directory because of our backlog.
Sites should be included that have a group of weblogs which fit certain requirements and only add members which fulfill those requirements. If the site simply lists weblogs, it should be added to the Directories category.
A clique is a web site which defines a list of parameters in order to be added. Only if a weblog fits the necessary requirements will it be added to the list of members.
All collaborative blogs should have multiple authors. If they have only one author, please submit to Computers/Internet/On_the_Web/Weblogs/Personal
A collaborative weblog is one which has multiple authors making entries. This is to be distinguished from an individual or personal weblog which has a single person writing all of the content.
A weblog directory contains a list of links to other weblogs. A directory shouldn't have a rigid set of requirements in order to be included in the list. They usually do not provide original content besides the links.
